The COVID-19 Program Coordinator will be responsible for providing oversight of coronavirus activities, including ensuring timely and effective identification, planning, and implementation of actions to strengthen the company’s ability to respond appropriately to the COVID-19 pandemic.
v Coordinates all COVID-19 activities, including calls regarding testing, investigation, and reporting COVID-19 results.
v Contributes to the development and implementation of the company’s COVID-19 preparedness and response strategy.
v Directs and coordinates company’s engagement in COVID-19 preparedness among other safety net providers, community- and faith-based organizations, and local and state health departments.
v Serves as the primary contact and informational resource for patients, care team, family/caregiver(s), payers, and community organizations/agencies.
v Works with the care team to develop COVID-19 testing protocols, evaluates the effectiveness of the protocols, and facilitates changes accordingly.
v Establishes and maintains a working relationship with community partners to help identify “High Priority” communities and neighborhoods where there are limited or no accessible COVID-19 testing.
v Manages COVID-19 response activities, in conjunction with management, to meet supplemental funding objectives within budget and allotted time frame.
v Supports the logistics activities of nursing staff, in relation to the purchasing and maintaining inventory of COVID-19 related supplies.
v Creates a communication plan for distributing timely and accurate information on COVID-19.
v Distributes literature to patients and the public on how to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
v Conducts periodic assessments of the appropriateness of the expansion of COVID-19 testing and the quality of services provided or proposed to be provided via drive-thru or in-office testing.
v Generates COVID-19 productivity and activity reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
v Provides general medical care and treatment to patients under the direction of a supervising physician.
v Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition.
v Works in collaboration with the social worker to help connect patients to relevant community resources, with the goal of enhancing patient health and well-being.
v Participates in all COVID-19 training courses/webinars and meetings.
v Licensed to practice in the state of Tennessee.
v Graduate of an accredited institution with an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) degree.
v 1-3 years’ experience in a clinical setting; federally qualified health center desirable.
v Strong managerial skills; demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, problem-solving, and time management.
v Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
v Electronic health record (EHR) experience.
Competent in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
