The Patient Financial Services Manager ensures maximum cash flow and protects the company from losses by the development of process and sound application of technology within the revenue cycle functions of Claims submission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

v Responsible for taking full leadership with insurance validation, collections, cash posting and cashiering.

v Interacts with state, federal, and local regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with reimbursement requirements and statutes and ensures that compliance is met.

v Strong emphasis and need for appropriate interpretation of Medicare and federal technical billing regulation.

v Establishes internal controls to ensure timely and accurate billing to the third party carriers.

v Maintains days in accounts receivable at below industry standards.

v Monitors daily cash flow.

v Prepares statistical, analytical, and management reports as requested by CFO.

v Management of all external billing services.

v Ability to plan, organize, direct staff and control a wide range of operations and activities pertaining to patient accounting functions with strong Leadership skills.

v Able to provide daily direction and leadership to staff, develop and administer new business office programs and services, and stay abreast of changes with billing requirements.

v Acts as a leader in recruitment, retention, and enrichment of Patient Financial Services department.

v Supervises Billing and Cashier staff.

v Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

v Bachelors’ degree from an accredited college or university in Health Education or related field, with a minimum of one (1) year of billing and management experience required.

v Thorough knowledge of registration, billing, and collection procedures.

v Extensive analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines.

v Knowledge of third party requirements, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and electronic filing of claims.

v Excellent customer service skills required to deal with internal and external customers, departments and physicians, vendors and governmental agencies.
